Meet the team behind Dahlia Energy

Marc Yacoub


Marc founded Dahlia Energy in 2020 after a career of 23 years across multiple industries in the Americas, Eastern Europe & MENA region. He was most recently the CFO for Yellow Door Energy, a UAE based renewable energy developer. Prior to that, he was a Senior Manager for Royal Dutch Shell, where he led M&A finance for the MENA region.


Marc graduated from Queen’s University, School of Business in Canada, and he holds a CPA from Ontario, Canada. He is bilingual (English, Arabic).

Gianni Pettinari


Gianni brings over 40 years of progressive business development experience with multinationals in Europe, Canada and USA. He has successfully set up and led the growth of four manufacturing companies in Tunisia and Romania.

Gianni holds a degree from Milan University’s faculty of Science and an Electronics degree from Feltrinelli IT of Milan. He is bilingual (Italian, English)

Mounir Bouaziz


Mounir joined Dahlia Energy after more than 30 years with Royal Dutch Shell as a Senior Executive across MENA, Europe, Asia, South America & Africa. He is recognized as having significantly increased Shell’s footprint via negotiations and venture implementations in MENA. He has substantial experience in Upstream, Domestic Gas and LNG developments, and he proudly founded Injaz Tunisia.


Mounir holds a degree from  Engineering Grandes Ecoles (Paris) and a MBA (USA). He is trilingual (English, French, Arabic)

Omar Shaban


Omar is a professionally trained energy engineer who developed his commercial expertise playing a pivotal role in building a technology company in Iraq backed by Rocket Internet. His contributions led to securing funding for the company, while acquiring market share in a highly competitive market.

 

Omar holds a BSc in Energy Engineering from the University of Baghdad. Fluent in both English and Arabic.

Mohsen Khairaldin Garcia


Mohsen brings over 10 years of energy experience and over 400 MW of utility scale and C&I solar projects. At Welink, he was the Business Development & Investment Director for EMEA, responsible for acquisition & development of solar PV projects. Previously, he was a commercial and economics lead for Royal Dutch Shell.

Mohsen holds a BSc in Government & Economics from London School of Economics and a MBA from London Business School. He is fluent in English, Arabic, Spanish & French.
